Instagram Reels - A Tiktok alternative in India Launched

Missing your Tiktok after it banned in India then you have good news. Instagram Reels is the other option which has recently introduced by Instagram in India as a Tiktok alternative and already launched in Brazil, Germany and France.

During India- China tension on the border and as a national security threat to India by Chinese companies, India has taken a major step to ban a famous video app called Tiktok. Tiktok has been very popular among Indian and a lot of people were using it but after a ban, everybody was worried that what they will do without Tiktok.

Here is the good news for Tiktok lover in India that Instagram has launched its video-based app called Instagram Reels. This app is a major rival for Facebook and Tiktok and it has been already launched in three countries already which are Brazil, Germany and France. India is the fourth country where it has been launched.

Instagram Reels allows users to make a video on the app, add creative filters, uses various formats, add music to it then share it with their followers like earlier Tiktok allows to do but Instagram Reels have a lot of advance features than TikTok. It allows users to create a video for 15 seconds then it can be filtered with popular music, popular hashtags and trending challenges.

15 Seconds timings are made on the basis that 45% of Instagram users make their videos for 15 Seconds or less. For now, Instagram Reels have no monetisation avenues. You can use this feature from 07:30P.M. IST from 08/07/2020 onwards.

Options for Reels are added in the Instagram camera. 

To start the Instagram Reels,  users first need to open the Instagram camera then have to select Reels Option.

Create a video for 15 seconds.

Add various filters to the video like Tiktok.

Also can give various AR effects to videos

Choose the audience you wish to share.

Multiple reels for 15 seconds can be recorded at once with different effects to each clip.

If required each clip can be delete, re-recorded and reviewed.

Like Tiktok Instagram Reels also come with an option ' use audio'. Which allows others to use your original music.

How to Create Instagram Reels

Select Reels option at the bottom of the Instagram camera.

Click on the notion" audio" and search for the suitable song from the music library

Original voice can also be recorded with the video like Tiktok.

For making more interesting videos you can add AR effects to video to make them different from other users.

A timer can also be select to make handsfree videos.

To make part of the video faster or slower there is also an option you can use it like Tiktok.
